Spring 🌸
Spring always feels like a fresh start. The evenings get longer, everything feels lighter, and for some reason it gives me a new burst of motivation for TikTok LIVE.
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about streaming – not the flashy viral moments everyone sees, but the quiet, consistent work behind it. Going live is such a strange mix of performing, chatting, and just being yourself in real time. There’s no editing and no hiding behind filters; you’re just there, showing up as you are.
One thing I’m reminding myself this season: consistency matters more than perfection.
When I first focused on TikTok LIVE, I thought success would come from huge viral spikes and massive numbers overnight. But I’ve realised real growth is much slower and softer than that. It’s more like planting seeds than chasing fireworks.
Here’s what I’m learning this spring about making LIVE work:
• Routine builds trust.
Going live at the same time regularly really does make a difference. People come back when they know you’ll be there. It becomes part of their routine too.
• Start talking before people arrive.
One of the biggest mistakes is waiting for viewers before speaking. The stream should already feel alive when the first person joins.
• Just keep talking.
Silence kills streams. Even if only a few people are watching, talk like the room is full. Energy attracts energy.
• Say people’s names.
This one is huge. Saying hello to someone by name instantly makes them feel seen – and they stay longer.
• Community first, gifts later.
The strongest LIVEs feel like group chats, not performances. When people feel comfortable, everything else naturally follows.
• Protect your energy.
Not every stream needs to be loud or chaotic. Chill streams, cosy chats, quiet evenings – they all count. Sustainable streaming is better than burning out.
Spring really does feel like a growth season: new routines, new confidence, new momentum.
Tonight’s reminder to myself:
Show up. Be consistent. Keep talking, even when it’s quiet. The right people always find you.
